Underneath all social, emotional and behavioural responses is an unmet need.
We all need to feel safe, loved, connected, respected, seen and heard. With these young people it is important to build trust and connection so we can figure out where the behaviour is coming from. We don’t need the children to explain their behaviour or feel guilty or ashamed, we aim to see past the behaviour and meet the person where they are at.
